Currently paperbacks are $2 and hardcovers are $3 unless specially priced. Children’s books, media, collectibles, and specialty items may vary.
Yes. We regularly receive signed books, first editions, collectible sets, and special editions.
Everything we sell has been generously donated and our store is operated entirely by volunteers. Every purchase also helps support local charities and organizations.
We do not accept returns or exchanges. All sales are final.
The Book Barn exists for our readers and this community. We love seeing the treasures you discover and the stories you take home. To protect that experience, and to stay true to our mission, we no longer allow scanning devices and resellers to purchase from our store. Our books are meant to stay in the hands of the readers who love them.
We have ramps for wheelchair access. However, the Book Barn is in an historic former dairy barn, some aisles are narrow and may be difficult to navigate with larger wheelchairs or mobility devices. If you have any questions before your visit, we’re happy to help.
Only Service Animals or those in training to be Service Animals are allowed.
All sales and promotions will be announced in the store and on our social media.
We rely entirely on donations and do not buy books. This keeps our prices low.
Unfortunately we cannot as our inventory is constantly changing.
Our inventory changes by the minute, so there’s always something new to discover.

Yes. Donations are limited to three bags (no large garbage bags) or banker-sized boxes per day. There is no limit for digital media donations.
Yes. Tax receipts are available upon request when you donate.
Yes, we are all volunteers, and all our profits are donated to local charities.
